I'm a freelance writer and editor, specializing in travel, food, architecture and art.
Travel has always been a part of my life. I was born in California, but grew up in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. My father worked for the Agency for International Development, and both he and my mother were passionate travelers who, to their sorrow, never quite mastered their Leica. I graduated with a degree in literature from Bennington College, and have worked as a writer and editor since then, first in New York and now in Los Angeles. A partial list of publications for which I've written includes: Town & Country, Departures, Business Traveler, Indagare.com, Sherman's Travel, Western Art & Architecture, Sunset, 7 x7, Concierge.com, Forbes.com, Yahoo Travel, AOL Travel, Spa magazine, Food & Wine, the Los Angeles Times Food section, Centurion UK, and now defunct publications Travel Holiday, Culture + Travel and Town & Country Travel. I've freelance edited for The Los Angeles Times food section, Culture + Travel, AOL Travel, the Liberty Hill Foundation, and numerous guidebooks. |
